Due to our growth, we are currently seeking a Designer for our Charlotte, NC office. This position will provide utility design on various water and sewer projects involving Charlotte Water, City of Charlotte, NC Department of Transportation, and other clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop utility construction plans and profiles;
• Develop project specifications;
• Develop project cost estimates;
• Prepare permits to the appropriate agencies;
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering;
• Prior water and sewer design experience with State Agencies (i.e. NCDOT) and municipalities (i.e. City of Charlotte/Charlotte Water);
• General understanding of water and sewer utility infrastructure;
• Knowledge of NC Department of Transportation methods and procedures for water and sewer design;
• Ability to comprehend government procedures as they relate to highway projects and water and sewer facilities;
• Minimum of five (5) years of water and sewer experience.
