Hinde Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Utility Coordinator to Provide project management and utility coordination on various projects involving multiple agencies (i.e. City of Charlotte, North Carolina Department of Transportation).

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Production

1.    Represents the firm in meetings with utilities, agencies, and contractors;
2.    Meets with utility companies on a regular basis regarding projects;
3.    Perform field visits and field investigations;
4.    Administer and attend project meetings;
5.    Performs scheduling for utility relocations;
6.    Facilitates the execution of various utility agreements with agencies;
7.    Develops utilities by others plans
8.    Develops and presents reports, presentations and graphical analyses;
9.    Assists in tracking projects and objectives;
10.    Performs research and statistical analysis;
11.    Assist Management with reviews and analysis of technical and administrative systems, policies,
procedures, plans and objectives, and practices;
12.    Assists in interpreting new regulations, city compliance, and implementing new technology;
13.    Assists Management with project scopes and budget preparation;
14.    Provides technical, administrative, computer, scheduling, budget information, support, and
coordination for managers and staff;
15.    Follows company safety policy and practices and adheres to responsibilities concerning
safety prevention, reporting and monitoring;
16.    Works in a safe manner and reports unsafe activity and conditions;

Administrative Responsibilities

1.    Operate phone system;
2.    Processes outgoing USPS and UPS shipments;
3.    Organize project files;
4.    Maintain project status list and reports;
5.    Maintain client contact list;
6.    Provides project progress reports and write-ups;
7.    Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education & Experience:
•    BS degree in civil engineering or a related field is preferred;
•    Minimum five (5) years of experience in the utility industry;
•    Understanding of utilities, State Agencies (DOT), Municipal Agencies (City of Charlotte);
•    Experience working in a fast-paced environment;
•    Valid Driver's License and functional vehicle
